A study showed that low levels of vitamin D can be linked to erectile dysfunction(ED).

Vitamin D is a fat soluble and it functions in increase the intestinal absorption of calcium, magnesium and phosphate.

Research study on a group of more than 3,400 American men of age 20 without any cardiovascular disease showed that 30 percent of men had vitamin D deficiency and 16 percent of them suffered from ED. The levels of Vitamin D in the blood of this men were below 20 nanograms per milliliter of blood.

Another study suggested that Vitamin D deficiency was present in men suffering from erectile dysfunction is more than men without erectile dysfunction.

Some study showed the linking between ED and vitamin D deficiency. But still the research scientists are however of the opinion that more research is required to determine if there is a direct connection between low vitamin D levels and erectile dysfunction.
