The facts: Using viagra is not going to cause harm to your health. It can be bad for your heart when you combine this drug with nitrates or with medicines that are used for hypertension.

Viagra was initially developed by Pfizer pharmaceuticals to treat chest pain or chest angina. It was found later that it can help to stimulate an erection.

So if it is used to treat chest pain, this is enough to prove that viagra is good for your cardiovascular health. It simply means viagra acts to stimulate an erection naturally, but other drugs for chest pain do not.

Nitrates are the class of medicines that are used to treat coronary artery disease as it helps to control your blood pressure. If you take the Viagra and nitrates together, your blood pressure will drop suddenly leading to a severe health problem; you might also need hospitalization.
